Peter K. Stris
Peter K. Stris has wide-ranging legal and business experience. His work has been recognized by many national media outlets including the New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, the Wall Street Journal, and USA Today.
Mr. Stris currently limits his legal practice to select projects of interest, such as litigation before the United States Supreme Court. His most recent argument before the Court was on behalf of the petitioner in LaRue v. DeWolff Boberg & Associates, Inc., a case about federal pension law. Mr. Stris is also a Visiting Professor at Whittier Law School where he teaches or has taught Appellate Practice, Federal Courts, Civil Procedure, Intellectual Property Litigation, and Torts. Mr. Stris’ research and scholarship draw upon his litigation projects. For example, his most recent work develops ideas initially formed while litigating Sereboff et ux. v. Mr. Stris received his J.D. from the Harvard Law School where he was an editor of the Harvard Law Review. Mr. Stris received his B.A. in Music from the University of Pennsylvania, where he won the National Collegiate Debating Championship.
